Spring has sprung, even if the weather hasn’t exactly been what we hoped!! This week at Tewksbury Honey included adding 17 new hives of bees! 12 Nucs, and 5 packages!  The Nucs were picked up in New York during a snow storm 🙂 but they’re now safe and sound in their hives here at home…
Here’s what a truck with 700 hives of bees looks like (12 of them came home with us)!
Here’s a few of them still on our truck when we got them home (they were waiting for Mike to set up the insulation)…
Yes, it was snowing… But, we put them together and surrounded them with insulation to keep them warm enough until the weather finally allowed us to get them into their “real” hives. If the weather cooperates this week, we’ll start delivering the hives to their more permanent locations around town!
